While summer weather provides respite from cold and rain, it comes with a different set of challenges for people who live out in the elements day and night. People experiencing homelessness in the extreme heat of summer often spend entire days outside in direct sunlight and are at high risk for dehydration and other health complications. Humanitarian Action Network continues to meet the basic human needs of people experiencing homeless through the summer months with the Summer Homeless Care Package Project. We are pleased to announce that with the help of our donors and volunteers we were able to create 240 care packages at the 5th annual Summer Homeless Care Package Project held at Sac Yard in Sacramento on Saturday, June 10, 2023.
