All human beings need and deserve consistent access to restrooms in order to eliminate waste properly and with privacy and dignity. Humanitarian Action Network is proud to announce that we now provide porta potties to the unsheltered homeless residents of Sacramento through the Porta Potty Project.
Humanitarian Action Network currently has two porta potties in place in Sacramento, thanks to the tireless humanitarian work of Janice and Robin, new volunteers of our organization who are leading our Porta Potty Project. We are honored to have them on our team and are excited to work together to get more potties placed for the unsheltered homeless to use throughout the community.
Did you know that one porta potty for one month keeps 400 gallons of untreated human waste off the streets and out of the rivers? By supporting the Porta Potty Project, you are helping to restore human dignity, safe guard public health, and help improve the environment. It is a win-win-win.
If you would like to donate specifically to this project, please send a check payable to Humanitarian Action Network, to P.O. Box 246835, Sacramento, CA 95824, and notate "porta potty project" on the check.
